Oh hello. It's been awhile. I have been fighting off a nasty case of pneumonia and FINALLY feel like I am back to myself this weekend. With that being said, I am back to giving Life Below the Mason Dixon the attention it deserves.
I've been linking up with Sarah Emily for the past few weeks in the 52 Week Blog Challenge! This week was challenging for me and forced me to take a good hard look at what I want to see change in my corner of the world.
As a kindergarten teacher and a coach's wife I am passionate about equipping our youth to be problem solvers, hard workers and individuals that are capable of causing generational changes. Most importantly know I want my littles & Coach's bigs to know that they are loved beyond their wildest dreams. Even on the difficult days when I might not "like" them too very much, I pray the love of the Lord shines through me on to them.
One of my Top Five Favorite Books of All Time is The Help. The quote, "You is kind. You is smart. You is important." The change I want to see? I want to see our youth believe wholeheartedly that they are kind, smart and important. That God has a plan, a purpose and great things in store for each of them. I want to fly unhindered into the future fully equipped to do great, amazing things in for His glory.
Continually telling them, showing them and believing it for them when they cannot will be how I lead the change I want to see.
