Room 303 Reveal

The second part of June was consumed with Instagram teases and references to all the work happening in my classroom.  I am happy to say that Room 303 is officially ready for the 22 kindergarteners to start their educational career in a few weeks.  A huge thanks to my best friend Rebecca, my mom & my husband for all of their efforts, hard work and sacrificed hours to make sure it was complete before inservice so my stress wasn't insane.  While there are still one or two things I would like to see happen in this space before August 22nd I am in awe of the transformation that occurred.  My principal, custodian and teammates were a little skeptical when I said I was painting my bulletin boards & furniture black but they had faith!

Let me start by saying my school building is very old but very loved! I also have a head custodian that gives teachers a lot of say in how we decorate & arrange furniture in our classrooms.  Because of this we are able to paint our bulletin boards which makes life so much easier in the long run.  When I moved into room 303 three years ago my youngest brother came and painted all of the boards yellow for me but towards the end of the school year I realized I wanted a change.  So here is the newly re-done Room 303, step into my home away from home.

The only thing you don't see in these pictures is the awesome table skirts my mom sewed for my desk & my intern's desk!  They are wonderful and I love how they dress up my area.
