A peek back at January...
1.. Finish our new kitchen makeover
When we first bought the house I had big ideas for the kitchen and to be honest they are a little out of my traditional comfort zone. Thankfully I have a creative mother who is a wonderfully good painter. We are hoping to have the kitchen finished this month [except for new appliances...those we are still saving for!]
We aren't completely finished with this yet even though major progress was made in January! Looking forward to knocking off the last few things in February.
2. Bring back Sunday prep
Since our move over the holidays it will be me making the commute each day into work. While I am so excited to officially be with our Blackcat family, staying on top of prep will be the only way our home [and lives] stay on the up & up.
3. Finish off my end-table booklist
I start The Modern Mrs. Darcy's 2018 Reading Challenge January 1st & already have some of my books lined up! If we aren't friends on Goodreads, let's make that happen.
4.. Memorize our first verse of the year: Psalm 100:5
We chose two verses to pray over our 2018 as a family. We are working on committing this one to memory in the month of January.
Worked on it, don't feel as though I committed it as fully as it should be. So not marking that off quite yet."
1. Finish kitchen makeover.
In February we are looking to install new countertops, cooktop & sink. The backsplash will be updated and I am hoping to find khaki buffalo check fabric for a valance & small curtain! Icing on the cake would be a new pantry door but I am not sure Coach Husband is quite ready for that.
2. Memorize Psalm 100:5
I wanted this super committed to memory this month!
3. Morning Routine
We started the semester strong [talking two days here] with morning routines that quickly fell to the wayside with a MLK weekend and a random bad weather day. Looking to reestablish morning routines this month and make them a habit.
4. Plan & Price Next House Upgrade
We are trying to decide between two house upgrades as our next "big" project. Not only do we need to decide, we need to price & plan so it can be paid for in cash.
5. Wedding Outfit
One of my favorite coaching couples is getting married next month! I need to find & order a dress to dance the night away in. Cannot wait for LJ to be Mrs. Maddog
Commuting took a toll on my body the middle of January and I had to say no to some things I love for my mental & physical health. Thankfully I feel as though it created so much white space/margin in my life and I am so grateful. Still playing catch up though with rest & sleep to fill me up. Double ear infections one week, cold turned sinus infection the next was a huge red flag that I need some sleep stat.
Here's to making progress in February
