When did March get here? Life is in full swing and I am looking forward to spring weather and all that entails! We have big plans to knock out some projects around the house over spring break and hopefully indulge in some long hikes and patio lunches downtown. Here’s a quick check-in of what’s happening with me!
Drinking: Water, water, water, water, water. After starting Plexus about eight months ago I have no desire for anything carbonated! While I still indulge in a half-half tea I am all about the water right now.
Wearing: T-shirts, Nike Shorts & yoga pants. It’s spring in Texas y’all.
Wanting: One of those backyard pallet bed swings to lay on and read in the sunshine.
Feeling: Rejuvenated. If feels odd to say that pre-Spring Break but the past few weeks I have had a huge stressor in my life taken away and it has made a world of difference in how I am feeling, acting and interacting with those around me. I know longer want to come home, crawl into bed and sleep the day away. I am so grateful for the Lord’s provision, even if it came about in a most peculiar way.
Eating: Fresh pineapple, blackberries & strawberries. Fruit is my favorite part of the food pyramid.
Listening To: My favorite collection of hymns.
Loving: This gorgeous weather. We’ve been blessed with weather in the 70’s for the past week and it has been absolutely beautiful. I have loved coming home, puttering in the flower beds, long games of fetch with the #draperduo & feeling the warm sunshine on my face
Excited About: Spring Break! Besides our list of home improvement projects we plan on hiking Cameron Park, patio lunches downtown, welcoming our friends back from their mission trip to Spain & spending time with Coach uninterrupted.
Buying: Spring flowers, mulch & a gallon of paint. We’re getting flowerbeds looing top notch again and some furniture a face lift.
Laughing At: My to-do list. I tend to over estimate what I can accomplish on a break from school and have probably done the same thing for spring break.
Looking to Tackle: Our Honey-Do-List for Spring Break! I have my eye on finishing the Scrabble Wall for the family room, organizing the back deck, ripping out the ugly plants in the backyard and deciding on a plan for landscaping out back.
Saying Good-Bye To: Winter. We’ve taken the heating blanket off the bed, sweaters have been packed away and Dixie & Duke have begun blowing their winter coat. Spring in Texas is here!
