the Fridays: No. 13

one-- Our weekend in Pittsburgh was unreal! We loved every minute of our time away and the icing on the cake [for me] was hands-down the Steelers game.  I grew up a Steelers fan and my parents took us to a game when I was a junior in high school but I haven't been back to Pittsburgh since then.  When we scheduled the trip we debated whether or not we should go to the Christmas Day game or the New Year's Day game.  We've never been NYE people but being in a difference city was a magical way to ring in the year.  It might be a new tradition for us.  A full blog post documenting our time will be coming soon but for now enjoy a couple of my favorite pictures from the weekend.

Our AirBnB was a great decision!

two-- This week was back to school!  Being back in a routine was an adjustment but it was wonderful getting to be back with #TeamKinder and my littles.

three-- Coach Husband & I kicked off our 52 Weeks of Saving Challenge this week. While we aren't quite sure what we are going to use the money for this time next year we are excited to get started.  If you are interested in starting your own saving challenge for the 2017 school year you can find the printable I made here.

four-- For Christmas my parents built me a kitchen island!  Yes, you read that right, they built me a kitchen island.  I. LOVE. IT.  Not only does it make a huge difference space & prep-wise but it also it makes our kitchen look complete.  On top of that, having a piece of furniture my parents made specifically for our space is such a sweet thing.

five-- Our best friend surprised us with a visit this week!  Lenny is working as a GA for a football program in the northeast and we go about six months in between visits.  When he called yesterday he tricked me and said there was just no way he would be able to make it down before he left.  Actually he was twenty minutes from our house!  It was such a sweet time to get to catch up and spend time with him.  He left and of course, I cried...but I am so proud of him pursuing his dreams and know he is going to be one of the greats.
