My sweet husband sets his alarm every weekday morning for 4:30 a.m. He wakes up, eats a light pre-breakfast meal and takes himself to the high school to lift weights, run and on "heavy weeks" pull the tires we store in our shed with his weighted vest. He comes home and gets ready for his day that ends with him at practice sweating the majority of the time in the Texas heat. Let me just tell y'all, he smells. His workout gear smells, his shoes absolutely reek and do not get me started on the hats. He has his own laundry basket for football/workout clothes and it stays outside because the stench is overwhelming. Am I being overly dramatic? I don't believe so. But in an effort to be a sweet wife I have searched high and low for a way to alleviate some of the stink. What I found to work? Tea bags.
Y'all I promise I am not crazy! I took normal Lipton teabags (I refused to waste my Luzianne tea bags on this endeavor) and threw a couple in the bottom of his laundry basket, one tea bag in each of his shoes and one in the basket where his hats our housed. While it did not alleviate the stench altogether it did greatly reduce the wall of smell that normally hits me when I open the door to the shed!
So it you have stinky shoes or a smelly pile of laundry try throwing a couple of tea bags in there and letting them sit! You will be presently surprised!
My coach's wife sisters, what is your go-to way for washing those coaching hats? Are you a handwash in the sink or do you use the dishwasher?
Till Next Time Y'all,
